The Talon Capsule

Bradmore Road Coins designs and (currently) 3D prints coin display hardware. The Puck is our first foray into coin display. Each one is made one at a time on a 3D printer, and we are very anxious to receive feedback from customers as we decide what comes next.

Two other sizes are in development, with the Puck being the middle size. We're also working on other designs such as a slab and "keychain" coin display.

The Puck

The Puck is a display holder for a single coin. The coin is placed on the window, and turning the outer ring closes three talons on its edge and gently lifts it clear of both windows, so that neither face is touched. A fold-out leg on the back stands the Puck on a shelf at a fixed angle.

One Puck accepts coins ranging from a US dime (17.9 mm) to a Morgan or Peace dollar (38.1 mm) without inserts or foam rings. Unusually shaped coins sometimes work, but not always. It is printed in PLA with acrylic windows and sold in small batches here, on eBay and on Whatnot. Each Puck ships with a feedback card.
